We lose sight of God, because we have lost sight of ourselves, our true selves, being too distracted by inanimate temporary and material things in life. The physical attractions we assign the highest value to, stripping the spiritual experience in all things. Projecting our worth and importance outside of ourselves, onto things not worthy of idolization. Our own reflection has become a source of pain. We deflect, looking away past and thru things instinctively, believing self to be so flawed and unsalvageable. Now when we look for God, we come to him both lost and in disguise. Coming to him in such an oblivious and weakened state that we can't even see where he has always and continuously shown himself to us. Blessings get lost to our blindness. Answers get lost to our ignorance, being too cloaked in shame that we no longer recognize our own strength and divinity. We disbelieve the promises and only identify with punishments. No longer believing an eternity of love transcending this physical life being our spiritual soulful cores. More often then not we break to instead of breakthrough our moments, where we should find the light of revelation, though losing our resolve, we aren't capable of finding resolution, which is within self. God is in all things, especially You
